I haven't had a chance to try it on, since the F21 here is 45 minutes away, but I did order it (in 2 sizes) and it's already shipped, so it should be here next week.

Like I said, I'm not 100% saying this is THE dress, since I need to see it IRL, etc. first....It's just the first one I've found that I liked and that's super affordable, so I thought I'd order it. I'm cool w/paying return shipping if it doesn't work.

I did think of a wrap dress, but I'm not sure of where to look for one that's good for summer (and of course, is cheap, lol).  EDIT:  Just saw your suggestions!. I'm only 5'4 too, so a lot of the knee length ones, on the models, end up being far too long on me. No real tailor in my college city either, so that kind of rules out hemming. Unless I could convince my mom to do it for me! :)

I'm still very open to more ideas, just so my brain is overloaded and I know what choices are out there!

i like the first dress assuming it doesn't cling too much. also i think your shoes are fine. even though they are wedges, they are not super chunky and will work well with most options.

some more options from f21, not sure how you feel about strapless but this could work and is $24.80.

personally i would cut off the sash and replace it with a belt. a black belt would be fun, tone down the bridesmaidy aspect of the dress, and be a nice way to tie your shoes into the outfit.

here are some other dress options from f21 that could also work

this is pretty similar to the first dress you posted, but the material is a bit different and the thicker straps allow for a supportive bra. just based on the image, i think you might be able to adjust the bustline with a safety pin and forgo a cami

I think its gorgeous, and I disagree that a cami would kill it. You just need the right cami (still fairly low, dressy fabric, probabaly a little lacy...)

I like this blue satin F21 option with a V & draping!
