i bought some bermudas on a whim at Old Navy the other night... here is what i look like in them...
please look past my pasty legs- i can't find the jergens natural glow anywhere!!!!
can i wear these? are they "do-able"? and if they are... what are some different ways to wear them? for this post, i paired it with a basic black tank and black flip-flops so that you would only look at the shorts... i probably wouldn't wear it this way in real life...

i wanted them in black, but they didn't have them in my size.
i already put them back in the Old Navy bag with receipt and put it by my door to take back tonight. my gut instincts were correct, i shouldn't have bought them....
those don't really do your body justice, but i don't think wearing bermudas is a hopeless cause. i would try black (or some other neutral color). maybe size up one or two, so they're more slouchy, and look for something that hits right below the knee -- which is a more wearable length, but still short enough so that they're not mistaken for capris.
I agree with domkfox - you sounded a little down about the responses - after reading them I went back & looked at some of your thread style posts & I agree with her & tati - you have a great shape & those shorts just don't do you justice. I think bermudas are the root of all evil!!!!! I won't even try them on because I know they will just depress me. Congrats on being brave enough to try them on & then ask for opinions - that's why I love this place!

bex, I think we have a similar body type, I tried on bermudas similar to those and they didn't look right on me either. However, I think the longer bermudas that just cover the knee are flattering if paired with heels. Maybe you can try some of those out.
don't give up on the style just yet! i agree with rocky, try a bit longer style... maybe with a pair of espadrille wedges to give you a bit more height.
yeah I agree....maybe try some in a different style b.c. i think they have potential...but they're right that that particular pair doesn't do your body justice..
