Does anyone know anything about this company? where did they come from? and how the hell do they get away with charging $80 for a screen-printed t-shirt? I just don't get it. I am happy to pay $5 more for an american apparel T than an ON one because they don't use sweatshop labor. I can even--sort of--understand paying $50 for a C&C T because the cotton is so soft and the cuts are more distinctive and flattering. But $80? Because celebrities wear them?


I'm curious b/c my BF has been obsessing lately about starting a t-shirt company. In the course of his "market research" I told him about Trunk and neither of us could make any sense out of it. We did a little quick ebaying and found you can get ORIGINAL concert Ts or reproductions for $15. Anyone have any input?

Companies like that can charge that much because others are willing to pay for it.

It seems like if someone even creates a tiny demand for it, everyone will want it. I noticed on the lux bored that if one person had it and they talk about how fab it is, or they see Jessica Simpson wearing it, they go crazy for it. It's such an LA thing...

I dunno. I don't see anything so great about LA style. I loove going to SoCal but their fashion isn't all that great. But that's just me.
