I have a pair of brown suede wedges with a dark mark on the toe. How do-able is cleaning suede? Could a professional get it out? I don't know what it is, just random dirt from wearing, I think. Thanks.

I find a stiff brush works quite well on suede. In fact I think there are special brushes especially for this purpose. I used one on a pair of shoes I had, and while I don't think it exactly cleaned them it did brush out some of the scuffs and made the suede a little fresher looking,....perkier if you will.
there's a little thing called a "suede block" that you can get at a shoe repair place also. it is kind of like one of those crumbly gommage erasers (remember those from elementary school art class?) but you rub the stain with it and it takes it out. if you get it wet, it will take more out. i've had good luck with those.
