Help me with evening gown

I bought a dress similar to style in ivory and I need help accessorizing it for a formal event. It's similar in style, but pretty fitted and much less prom-y. Even though this dress is frumpy on the mannequin, I swear mine is sophisticated and sexy I'd model it and take a picture but it's at my parents.



So, I need jewelry, bag, shoes, and whatever else you think would work. I prefer more overstated, dramatic things so keep that in mind (ie the bolder the jewelry the better). I don't know if it's possible, but color would would be nice too. But I'm also open to metallics. FYI, I have really dark hair and will be pretty tan so there will be a nice contrast with the dress. No more than $400 for it all. TIA

OK do you want to look like you are heading to the oscars? or country club chic?

The first thing that came to mind was Kate Beckinsale at The Pearl Harbor premiere...

I think you could go a little more dramatic on the earrings, have your hair done up, wear gold bangles on each of your arms, gold strappy heels, and an ivory bag that can tie it all together...now I will look for pics of these things for you!

Ooh, I don't have a suggestion to post, but LOVE the first selection that ejc posted. I think peach would be unexpected and very sophisticated with a cream dress.
