Candeloo Rechargeable Lamps, Orange/Violet Andreu Osika, 2002 Comforting, safe, and adorable, this pair of rechargeable lamps are the kid's version of the Candela Lamps. Portable, they are good buddies for playtime and warding off things that go bump in the night. Providing a steady ambient glow for five hours, they can also be set to gently pulse for eight hours. Intelligent circuitry makes the lights turn on magically when lifted from the charging base and start to recharge as soon as they are put back. No exposed electrical contacts. Set of two polycarbonate lamps comes on an ABS plastic base.
Ages 3 and up.

They are incredibly beautiful! I've been eyeing the brass one ever since I saw it pictured in a British interior design magazine a couple of years ago. And then I saw the Midsummer shade and haven't been able to get it out of my mind!
I have to have it - even though I have no place to hang it in our current home...
Have you seen Tord Boontje's swarovski chandeliers? They are some of the most beautiful things I have ever, ever seen in the whole wide world of design.
It's hard to see in the stills but these are full of tiny LCD lights that flicker on and off. I think they are just beautiful. I would love to have a roomful!
Here's the light you like but in lime green:

No, I haven't seen the chandeliers before - but I can imagine how amazing they must look!
Hmm, I wonder if I could somehow just hang the Midsummer shade in the window, so I would still be able to admire it even though I can't use it as a lamp shade right now...
I think I need this! My dining room in pruple and green and that would be absolutely fabulous over the table (ok, *ahem* in the corner...)!! You are my hero for postingthat.
