I am so frustrated-someone help me with size

I am trying to find a chocolate brown top to go with a yellow skirt I have.  I ordered this one from BR in chocolate brown and it came in today.  It just does not fit right and no going larger in size will help.



I also tried this sweater from Gap in both M and L and it didn't work either. 


For the money I have lost in shipping charges I could have already bought the one I really want from anthro

But herein lies the problem, what size do I order?  I am sick of losing shipping costs.  I normally wear a M or an 8--does anyone know how this runs?

I just bought that Anthro top and it is sooo comfortable. It has a bit of stretch to it as well, so hopefully will fit nicely. I found that it runs TTS, slightly large but not enough that I would size up. I wear a 4 and a S fit me fine, I could have sized down but I want to wear it to work and the S gave me more coverage. I would say a M should be fine for you.

Meow, I also "usually" wear a medium.  I've seen that shirt in Anthropologie about 10 times now (it's cute; I just don't really need ANOTHER shirt that looks like that) and I would say if I were to try it on, I would ONLY grab a medium.  I shop at Anthropologie a lot and although they have a bunch of different brands, I can pretty much eyeball things for my size.

Could you tell me how low cut it is?  Also, I noticed that it comes in a pretty blue.  Hmmm, I wonder if the blue would be cuter with the yellow.  I had planned on wearing the brown top and yellow skirt with a pair of leopard slingbacks I have so I would be back to square one on the shoes.

Sorry to hear of your troubles!  Brown is so hard to find.  I too have that Banana top and love it but I was just trying it on earlier and thinking that it fit strange and wasn't sure why.  I thought it was just me.  I had even exchanged it a couple days ago from a small to a medium and I'm still not so sure I'm keeping it.  But I've been in one of those moods today!


I think the Anthro top is really cute!  If brown's what your looking for, I've seen lots of cute ones at Limited lately.  Different styles and shades of brown.  HTH
