And I can't decide if they are really worth $200 or not.  They are from DSW but since they use flash I can't post the picture just the link (unless someone knows a trick).

http://www.dsw.com/dsw_shoes/catalog/product.jsp?index=10&pl=DSW10470030&category=dsw11cat140004&prodId=170516&brand=

I think they would be a really good neutral shoe and I've tried them on and they fit great.  Sigh... I just don't know if I should/could drop $200 on 1 pair of shoes since I've never done that before.  On top of that I need to update my work wardrobe and buy some clothes for the honeymoon.  So I'm thinking I need to stop thinking about these shoes.   Thoughts?  Anyone else been in this situation and regretting passing up something that they've thought about for so long.  Maybe someone has seen a look for less recently??

Marc by Marc Jacobs Leather Slingback these but in biege right?

I would pass, but it could be because I'm not to much of a fan of the heel. But thats just my opinion. I you LOVE and can afford, get them.

Yeah those are them but beige and brown. I keep trying to talk myself out of them but they are taunting me. If they would just sell out of my size I'd be able to let them go.

That's a toughie. I'm really not a fan of the heel, but if they are haunting you, maybe try ebay stalking them or something? If you know the brand, you could look around online and see if they're cheaper anywhere else?

Ebay is a good idea.  Maybe I'll try stalking them on there for a while.

I think you could find something similar for less.

I agree.  Maybe try Nine West or Nautralizer?  They might have a similar style.

i think they are really cute and would be even cuter in the tan and brown!  the heel is big but i kind of like it actually.  3 weeks is a long time - if you've been thinking about them that long, i think you should get them.  you can always take them back if you wait to wear them.

what i do in this situation is - i buy the item but let it sit unworn in my apt for a few days (in the bag with the receipt still there!).  then i will try it on at home and with the outfits i had pictured with it, and if i love the item MORE than i did in the store i'll keep it, but if i'm still on the fence or feel guilty about spending the money then i return it.  i have to be very careful abt what i buy these days b/c of SPACE - b/c we will be moving overseas and we have a very retricted weight limit on the stuff we can bring with us (for various reasons), i have to be very selective about everything i buy, esp. clothes.  this process has worked really well for me.  i've returned about 30-40% of what i bought, and only ended up with things i love.
btw sometimes it helps to wait even longer than a few days (keeping the store's rtn policy in mind) - i have been known to change my mind after a month or so - esp. if i find a better or cheaper option.  you can always take a picture and post it here asking for opinions if you need more help deciding to keep or return it - i've done that for items i'm still uncertain about.

also, are you on their mailing list?  i am and i get $10 off coupons all the time - i think you get one immediately upon signing up.  and you can stack them, which is nice.  hth some!

They are cute but I do think that heel will end up looking dated.

If you've been thinking about them for 3 weeks though I think you should at least hunt down a similar style!

Ditto. I don't think they look like $200 shoes.

I think that is what is holding me back.  I see lots of use for them but I don't want to spend that amount of money on them.  When I first found them in DSW the pair I found were 80% off making them roughly $80 which is reasonable.  What I didn't realize was they were 80% off because the shoes were 2 different sizes (one 6.5 and one 7.5).  So I put them back and walked away.  I'm going to work on the look for less on these.

I think it's the slingback that's not working for me. If that had a regular back, I think I'd like them alot more. (Plus, if you wear them with pants, they'll constantly get caught, making them instantly less wearable than other heels.) That being said, I agree--I think you can find something similar for less. The two-tone shoe is a classic and I'm sure you can find other styles.
