STYLETHREAD -- LET'S TALK SHOP!

I have this skirt (I need to iron the hem):

I tried this Gap sweater on in a M and a L to wear with the skirt.  The M was too small and the L just didn't fit right. 

I am having trouble finding another chocolate brown ss sweater or top to wear with this skirt.  There is another one on Gap's website, but after this experience with this sweater I just don't want to go their route.  Also, there are a couple of choc brown tops on anthro's website I like, but I really don't want to spend $68 or $78.  I posted those in another thread but I have about changed my mind on them.  There was also one on BR website awhile back (I think rar210 bought it) but it is not on there anymore and I don't live close to a BR.   

OK, after that long sob story I just gave can I get your opinions?  Should I keep looking for a choc brown top/sweater (can anyone help?) or should I try a different route?  One thing I was thinking about was getting a lightweight white blazer (I can get one at a local boutique for about the same price I paid for that Gap sweater) and wearing a peach top that I already have under it.  What do you think?---HELP
