it reminds me of the bcbg one that came out in october 2004 that now is EVERYWHERE. bcbg has brought it out in several colors and other designers are copying it (bebe, anthro, etc...)...so if you think you would get a lot of wear out of it, i say go for it. i would be worried that you might be sick of it in a couple of months. i also live i a big city, so i've seen it alot when i go out.

I've seen it in person- sold out of the stores really fast, and I'm undecided about it. For one, it is really cute. But it is pretty pricey for what it is (around $120, correct me if I'm wrong) and could look dated in a little bit (metallic and shrug and flower- lots of trends at once). But it is cute!

shopgirl82 - You work for BCBG right? How does that shrug fit? TTS, run small, run big, etc. I have been watching a few on ebay.

I have that shrug on backorder. I dont mind paying a little more for it because i think it has a somewhat classic appeal to it. You can remove the flower which is good.

Just because it's gold dont write it off after the trend is gone. Quite frankly, that's when i bring certain pcs. out.

I know - I've seen the BCBG one around EVERYWHERE! But I like the anthro one because it is more versatile (imo) and is long sleeved. The short sleeved one just serves to accentuate my less-than-fab, more-like-flab arms.

Do you think it's too similar to the BCBG one because I'd hate that. I think it's different enough to stand out but maybe not for $120. Hmmm... food for thought. Maybe if I win big in Vegas this weekend it'll be a sign I should buy it! (this is what I'm saying about everything I want lately)

I think it is very cute and different than the BCBG one. I also think it would be very versitile and something you could throw on with just about any cami or tank. It would look great with casual summery skirts and tanks. I also picture it with brown pants and a pink cami (imagine that

That's what I was thinking. I thought it would be a very versatile summer piece. I have a pet peeve with all sleeveless all the time. In Texas no one wears anything with sleeves in the summertime. I like to find sheer or mesh or lightweight materials I can wear over camis and such in the summer so I can step out a bit from the crowd without having to don a sweater - I'm not a glutton for punishment!

But next question - $120??? I got so excited by the prospect of the shrug I forgot the price issue. Seems a bit pricey but maybe not if I'll wear it all the time. Thoughts?

i remember seeing this one at arden b. about two weeks ago. it also came in other colors (and orange color, etc..). it's sold out on the website, but you could call your store and have them find it if they don't have it. the price is $58. i just thought i would post this if you want a less expensive alternative.

Hmm... good idea. If only the ardenb by my house didn't close down. I'll have to find another one near me. $58 is MUCH better.

Hi Bluebirde,

Sorry so late responding but it is on backorder till about April 24.
When i was in anthro last night, the girls said that this was one of the hottest items (if not the hottest most requested) and is pretty much sold out in the stores and like i said on backorder.

Everyone has been coming in and asking for it.
