it was on sale at bloomies online for half price, but only in a size 12. i called my local bloomies here and they said they could order it from the nyc store in my size. they took my credit card info and told me i'd get it in a week. i get no email confirmation or anything, and yesterday i receive a letter in the mail saying sorry but the item is unavailable. i called the SA at bloomies that placed the order, she was not there so i talked to another SA, and she said that if i got the letter then it is probably sold out everywhere, but she cannot check b/c she doesn't have some number that she needs - she was really unhelpful. i can't call the 800 number for the website now b/c they are only open during business hrs. i can't find it online anywhere else in that color, much less on sale.
i tried it on in the store at saks, so i guess my only option is to buy it now full price (if it's still there) or wait for it to go on sale, but i don't have unlimited time to keep going out there to check. uggh - any ideas??
Oh that is a cute dress and I'd be pissed too. If you really love it and it looked good on which I am assuming it did I might just pay the full price to have it without worrying any more unless full price is ridiculous.
I'd buy it at Saks for now and just keep the receipt in case you find it at bloomies you can return. Then on Monday I would call bloomies and explain why you're upset and see if they can find it.
You could also go in to your local bloomies..you might get more help if you're there in person.

I agree with this. What a bummer! I hope that if you call Bloomies they can do something for you.

thanks, girls! i think this is what i'll do, but it just kills me to have to pay full price - $315 - when i thought i was getting it for $180 (half price plus tax and bloomies ridiculous $16 shipping). my husband won't be thrilled either.

Neither of the NYC stores nor the website had the DVF dress she wanted in her size so a SA said they could order it from the "fulfillment center" for her. She never got the dress and when she called Bloomies they said it was probably never in stock. I would keep checking the Bloomies website. The dress my sister wanted eventually showed up again in her size.

the "fulfillment center" is the word the unhelpful SA used - she said if the letter from the nyc store said it was unavailable, then they were out of them at said center. uggh. i'll keep checking daily though - thanks for the tip!
