STYLETHREAD -- LET'S TALK SHOP!

I am thinking about buying a cute shurg I saw.  It is a cream colored sweater with a collar that folds over by the neck and the collar goes down the front (lapel).  I have dark brown pants with a cream pinstripe.  My question is what can I wear under the shrug?  (Work appropriate)  Thanks
