So if I remember correctly, you were looking at the Old Navy purple maxi-dress in hopes that it would work for you for this summer, right?
I was at Marshalls and Target tonight and both had possibilities.
At Marshalls there was a Max Studio purple maxidress for $39.99.  It has a little white embroidery at the empire waist.
At Target I saw a Mossimo Supply Company purple maxidress also.  I forgot to check the price.  :( But it's racerback style and has a little ruffle on the bottom.
