I feel like I have the same dilemma every weekend. When I go out (usually to dinner and/or to a bar, on the weekends) I have nothing to wear! I usually end up wearing the same stuff I wear to work during the week, which is casual and boring and not exactly hot. I still feel like being a little sexier/glammer. I guess right now my focus is trying to find a few good tops, since those will be easy to pair with a denim skirt or skinny jeans + heels.
My biggest thing is not wanting to show too much cleavage. I have a large chest and it's way too easy to look slutty and tacky!
Does anyone have any suggestions? Pieces you love? Places to shop? I feel like I don't even know where to go to find this kind of stuff. I feel like I'm in a weird no-man's land at 22, where I can't fit into Juniors stuff anymore, but the misses' stores can sometimes veer towards stuffy for a Saturday night at the bar (even if I love it during the workweek!)

i am in the exact same rut - it sucks! i can't find anything i like, but i always hold out hope for stores like anthro, br, j crew, saks, nordies, and little boutiques. not sure if this helps much but i received a tip from a nordstrom SA the other day (at least it was a tip for me) - this girl had on a really cute little dress that she said was from forever 21 (i was floored)- it was black at the top with a sort of grey taffeta skirt with a lime green tie in the back. she paired it with a lime green scarf, black tights and boots and it looked awesome. anyway, she said that a particular F21 in a mall here in northern VA had a great selection - with a section in the back of the store with better, more fashionable pieces at slightly higher price points. apparently, she got like her entire wardobe there. i didn't realize that some F21 stores were much better than others. might be worth checking out if you have a good one near you.
Probably only up to $40 (which I know limits what I can get) - my region (northern Kentucky) doesn't have a smoking ban yet, and I think if I wore anything more expensive I'd be even more pissed when I come home stinking like cigarettes. Not to mention, one crowd I go out with can get pretty drunk, and inebriation doesn't lead to being able to hold your glass instead of spilling it on Kelly :)

I didn't realize f21s could vary that much! I have one close to me, and I barely ever find anything in there, so even when I shop at other malls I don't check our their f21s because I figure they're going to be about the same. Thanks for the info!

i didn't realize it either, until this girl told me about it. it's funny b/c we were in nordstrom and there is actually an f21 in that mall, which is a nice one (the mall), but i can't ever find anything in there and we both agreed that that f21 store was sort of ghetto (same scenario as kmd mentioned). the good one she referred me to actually is in a somewhat ghetto mall - go figure!
