Met: August 2001-ish (we had a class together, we "met" but didn't really talk much at first) First Date: November 2, 2001 Engaged: September 25,2004 Wedding: August 6, 2005
wow, I feel soo behind! only Smash and LMonet have been with their FHs longer than me and my bf, and we're not even close to marriage yet!! (well, by not close I mean I'm thinking about it, but I don't want to get married for a few more years )
well, actually, we really met about 20-something years earlier - we went to elementary school together, but we weren't friends (he was a boy with cooties!). but we were re-introduced thru a mutual friend on Aug. 9th.
Met Oct. 2000 First date: November 2000 Engaged: Jan 2004 Married: We officially(verbally) married each other a few months after we met but we are formally (for family and friends) marrying each other May 7th, 2005.
We will always celebrate the day we met, October 5th, as our anniversary. I'm sure that we will also include May 7th as well.

hey sunshine, Just curious as to what you mean by officially, verbally married.. was this just a promise to each other at the time or are you really legally married already? I am not sure what you mean! Just wondering.. :)
By "officially" I mean that we made a promise to each other. That's about as official as we need. We've lived together for three years and know that just because we are gathering our friends and family together next month to celebrate "us", that nothing should or will change.
In fact, my fiance already refers to me as his wife (to me and other people). He bought his wedding ring and wears it already.
