I was desparate for something to wear in the snow/slush and bought the first thing i saw at nordstrom rack............really regretting it. I looked around online and they come in other more practical colors that i wish i had hunted for. And,  the tops are NOT waterproofed!! One drop of water from snow melting on a tree and the leather has darkened in that spot! (and now i can't return them....ugh) Was I crazy to think duck boots should come with the leather waterproofed?
