whooo, i took the plunge! a few weeks ago, i asked you girls about sunglasses. originally i was looking to spend around $100. i was afraid to spend a ton since i always lose/break sunglasses. well, i saw these babies on friday and fell in love...
except mine are black with black lenses- for some reason i can't find a pic of them anywhere! they are EXACTLY what i wanted and they fit my face perfectly so i splurged. they're $265, but i got 21% off (opened a macy's card- 10%- and then got a "visiter's coupon" for an extra 11% off!). so i spent a little over $200. in the end, i decided that i will just take really good care of them and they're a worthy investment. i know i'll always love them. i can't believe i bought a pair of CHANEL sunglasses! i'm usually not into labels/designers- although that might be changing! i think i might go post these in the "what's the most expensive thing you've ever bought?" thread now...
for the rest of the weekend, i am staying out of the stores! i went surfing yesterday and today i'm going to "purge" my closet and maybe sell some things to a consignment store. (oh, and dye easter eggs!) no shopping for me for a while!
another crinkle cami - in black (I almost bought another one in pink but stopped myself - there's nothing to match it in my closet!)
crinkle teal scarf
And I was in New York in the middle of this week and bought a great Cullen cashmere sweater, which I will not be able to wear until next Fall. ARGH!!!!
but in black - I have 1 black bag and it is more like a work bag. this bag is versatile, cheap, and cute - perfect! I am joining the ranks of C. Ronson-clad stylethreaders - I just can't say no to peep toe.
in gold - liked the older versions better but figure these are pretty cute and I'm desperate for summer shoes anyway. another big stylethread shoe, but hey. they were 20%. how could i say no?
and
in the brown color for "everyday" sandals
now i'm really on my shopping ban until the wedding (except for a bathing suit). No mas!
I went all out this weekend compared to a normal weekends for me. I went and stayed with some friends outside of Boston and we went to Providence...
Another Urban Outfitters tee that isn't online. Oversized tortoise shell sunglasses from some random store. Bamboo bangles from Target. Gold bangles from Target.
I'm pretty sure that someone from Citizen's snuck into my room and measured me while I was sleeping and then made the Fayes accordingly.
well, i don't usually post in the weekend shopping thread - i'd like to say it's b/c i didn't do any shopping, but the truth is i'm just lazy. however, this weekend, i took a vow to be less lazy and more productive in all areas of my life so here goes (baby steps, I know).
these Citizens - Faye in North Pac wash - got em off the Neiman's website, hope they fit
these pants from BR that arrived in the mail - i'm happy to report that they fit perfectly and are very flattering on
this Ann Taylor dress off eBay - not sure if it'll look too 1950's housewife but i am desperate for a shirtdress
MAC makeup remover wipes, I have been out of these for a while and thought I could live without them
And this pretty little necklace from my mom, part of an early b-day present (the other being a ticket to paris! woohoo!!!!)
