I've always been an 8 but recently it seems that I'm having to buy 7 1/2s because 8s are too big. Currently my closet is has a mix of 8s and 7 1/2s that fit. I've had to get rid of some 8s because they are now too big. I have NO idea what is going on, lol. I really want to pull the trigger on some Nine West Boots on eBay but they are 7 1/2 and I don't want to buy them if they are going to be too small. The Nine West shoes that are in my closet are strappy, 8s, and I feel could go either way. Argh.
Anyone have any idea on Nine West boot sizing?? I have two pair of Nine West Boots but they are 8 1/2.... and have TONS of room in the toe.
My closet is a pretty even split between size 6 and 6 1/2, and I always take a 6 in Nine West. I think you could probably get away with it - you just might not be able to wear really thick socks with them .....

I wear a 6.5 in almost all shoes, but my Nine West boots are a size 7 and I don't think I could go much smaller. They have a pointy toe if that makes any difference and I wear them with pretty thin socks.
I'm a solid 8 in most shoes including Nine West. I have thin heels, so in Nine West I'd probably be more apt to go down a half size than up. But for boots generally I'd say size up rather than down, if you're unsure. I'm totally not any help at all. Sorry!
I am generally an 8 in Nine West and all other brands. I just got a pair of pointy boots but I sized up bc I usually wear thick socks or add padding. If you are mostly a 7 1/2 I'd do a 7 1/2 as the leather often stretches.
I think "vanity sizing" might have hit the shoe world too. IMO older 9W styles used to be narrower than they are today, so it might depend on how recent the style is.
Some eBay sellers now list dimensions in addition to sizes - maybe you can compare the length to something you already have that fits well? Or ask the seller for more specific sizing? And ask about prompt returns if they're too small?
