I cannot, no matter how hard I try, remember the name of a catalogue/website store. It's a cheapie place and the only thing I remember about it is that a few years ago some girls bought a red print shirtdress from there and it had a "five ways" or "five days" or something like that feature on its website.
My mom is looking for a MOB dress (actually aunt of the bride but close enough) and doesn't want to spend very much since she'll probably never wear it again. I was trying to think of places that would sell clothes appropriate for older women that aren't very expensive and that place came to mind only I can't remember what it's called!
I think there might have been a link on ST for it at one time but I can't be sure...
Newport News! That's it! Thanks sooo much. I have no idea if they have something appropriate for a wedding but for a one-time wear for an older lady, they might fit the bill!
Okay I looked and... nope, not cool for a mom. Or for many people for that matter. Any ideas for a MOB-type dress (must be long and preferably have a jacket) under $100? It's a tall task, for sure.
You guys are awesome! I'm sending all of these options to her. The wedding is an evening wedding and she won't wear black, so that's the only consideration, color-wise. Oh and for sizes, I'm guessing 10 or 12 but it probably depends on the dress. (She's bigger on bottom so a bigger size for straight skirts most likely.)
I'd try some outlet malls too - Norstrom Rack or an Off Fifth. They have these types of dreeses for holidays, but they are on clearance in January - you may be able to find a good dress under $100
