So last weekend I bought this great Tahari pink tweed blazer on sale at Bloomies (it was around $160 down from $500) - can't find a pic but i LOVE it.
Its lined in hot pink satiny material. I wore the blazer today over my favorite white knit (BCBG) shirt... and when I took it off when I got home, the pink from the lining had stained my shirt on the shoulders & arms!
I am devasted. Not only will I be scared to wear the jacket again, but my favorite shirt is ruined. What can I do? Can I return the jacket (I may be able to find the receipt but I don't even have the tags anymore)?
I'm not sure if Bloomies does returns w/o tags- some of the nicer stores are weird like that. Nordstrom has amazing customer service, but when i went to Neimans to return something, I had to go to the dept. that the dress was from to return it (I first went to customer service, they told me to go downstairs, then I went to the counter I bought it, contemporary designers, they said it was prob misplaced and made me go to another counter, ugh.) They told me the original tags needed to be on the garment, which they were, but I thought that was weird because I assumed upscale places weren't as picky (I usually shop at nordstrom or anthro- they are good with returns). So Bloomies could be better or worse. I would suggest contacting Tahari directly and being honest about the problem, most big companies will help you out or maybe send you a different style of jacket that you pick. It's much more expensive to lose you as a customer than to help you out.
