dc, About Lining Shoes w/Moleskin...

i've never heard of having this done by a shoemaker, but i have used plenty of moleskin in my lifetime. when i was a ballet-maniac in junior high and high school, i used to just buy it at the drugstore and stick it onto my toes where they would blister to protect them from my pointe shoes. but you could totally do it the opposite way, too--cut the moleskin to fit the area that rubs and then stick it on there. it comes already pre-adhesive'd on the back, so it's easy to do. i don't think you'd want to line the whole shoe, though.

Oooh, I hope it's not the same thing. I have used that stuff unsuccessfully in the past. I tried it on shoes that rubbed at end where your foot goes into the shoe, and it didn't work. I couldn't put it directly on my feet because it could be seen. Maybe dc got something different done...

Drew, I did just buy the stuff from CVS and line them. I cut out a strip to fit the back strap and stuck that there and also a couple peices around the toe. Nothing fancy. Though I am betting a cobbler might be able to do something to make shoes more comfy, that is not what I did. Sorry if that's not the answer you were looking for - good luck!
