I like the denim skirt the best- if you don't have one like that already. I bought one for $60 and groaned the whole time thinking it was so annoying to pay so much for something so boring (even though I don't even think twice for dropping $150 on cool shoes I can wear only a few times.) I love it and wear it all the time, the fit is awesome on my skirt too. It's a nice alternative to jeans ( I remember in thread style you said you had a pleated denim skirt that you liked to wear instead of jeans, this could be another alternative.) I like the plaid bermudas too- i have a pair of plaid cropped pants and a pair of pink pants, and I feel odd wearing the pink pants. I guess I like neutrals better for pants, more flattering and versatile.
Sorry I'm no help but i pretty much like everything that you posted. I think you should gear your decision on what your wardrobe needs are.
I bought the bermuda shorts in khaki and they fit really well. They look wonderful with pointy toed kitten heels. I really like the pink as well.
Also, i bought the gold skirt but then returned it because i was concerned about the maintenance and none of them laid(sp) right. They all had some kind of flaw in the fabric.
Question: Where does the denim pencil skirt hit on you? That is on "my list" this season.
I voted for the gold skirt. I have a shirt like that, but white and I wear it all the time in the summer. It's amazing. The denim shirt would be a good basic, and while I like the bermuda shorts, I think they are flattering on very few people.
sunshinegirl- so those bermudas, are they a pretty slim fit? This is a trend that could be either really goods or bad for me and my skinny legs - they'd have to be cut v. skinny and straight for me.

dc, my legs are most def. not skinny and the AE Bermudas were cut rather generously IMO. Slimmer ones like the Juicy ones might be more the fit you're looking for.
sunshinegirl, one of the reasons I like the pencil skirt so much is because I'm petite and I have short thighs (normal length calves though) and the AE pencil skirt hits right above my knees, where I like pencil skirts to hit best. Most of them are too long on me.
rocky, LOL...I guess I don't mind, except that I think it's weird that the government thinks I'm above average weightwise but I fit into small sizes at most stores.
so hard to decide...I'll probably visit AE again tonight.
dc, Sorry i'm just responding but it's been a very busy day. It's funny because the cut of the khaki ones seemed to be different from the cut of the pink ones. The khaki had a more tapered leg and looked great with my toothpick legs. The other colors were a bit wider which is fine too.
Also, i ordered the bermudas (in black) from The Gap. They look like they might have the same look. I'll try and take a picture of the AE bermudas tonight and post it tomorrow.
I recommended the gold skirt, cuz no worries about wrinkles, and I have a similar skirt in brown and I got tons of compliments. With that gorgeous gold, you'll get even more!
I revisited everything at AE tonight and ended up with the denim skirt. I realized I missed my denim pencil skirt from last summer so much that I really needed to replace it. Plus this one just fit so well...I knew there's no way it would sit in my closet unworn.
After a second look at myself in bermudas...I am totally passing on this trend since I look like a total ass in them. As for the golden skirt, it is really pretty, and I think it would be versatile, but I put it on in the fitting room and it just wasn't "me". I never wear gold (despite it looking good on my skintone) and I'm not really that boho hippie when it comes down to it. Plus I had no idea what shoes to wear with it...LOL
