OK, after much deliberation over the past several months I have finally decided to buy my first high end jeans.  Right now I am wearing Wal-Mart,  but I do love them.  Anyway, I tend to be a little curvy and I read somewhere (it may have been on this board) that AG jeans seem to be the perfect jeans for girls that can't wear any others.  Could you give me some advice about them?  I was looking at some on Shopbop and Nordstrom and they have different names such as "Legend" and "Kiss".  Do they pretty much all fit the same?  Why the different names?  Also, I normally wear a 6 to 8 in stretch jeans.  What size should I order?  Thanks for any help you can give me.

I own two pairs, the Angel Infinite and the Legend Naive. I swear by them for my j. lo. booty (there, I admit I've got it!). They are both great basic jeans for girls with curves because they have a lot of space to accomodate larger thighs and a larger rear. The main difference between Angel and Infinite rests in the flare, the rise, and the way the back pockets are placed.


The Angel is a moderately low rise, a bootcut leg, and a basic yoke.

The Legend has a slightly higer rise than the Angel, a flare leg, and the heart-shaped back yoke. This is the secret to making a large rear look fabulous.

I have never tried any other AG styles, but between the Angels and Legends, you should be covered.


I wear a 2-4 in BR/Gap/Express bottoms and I take a 27 in AG stretch jeans. You may want to try 29 or 30, depending on how tight you want the jeans to be.

I've yet to buy a pair, but I'm in LOVE with the AG Club.  I haven't bought them because I'm trying to drop some weight, but once I hit my target, these will be the first things I buy.  They're perfect for me because I'm fuller through the thighs.  I'm evenly proportioned (36-27-37) but I have bigger legs (I hate it because even when I weigh like 115 lbs I have these tree trunk legs.  It's all muscle but it still sucks....) and AG and some Diesel are really the only high end brands that fit me right.  I think I wore a 28 in the Club.

Revolveclothing.com has free shipping and returns, which is good if you dont know your size.  I have 3 pairs of legends and they are my favorite jeans ever.  I am a size 4 and I wear a 27 or 28.  You are probably a 29 or a 30- they do stretch out though so buy them a little snug.  I love them!  Anthropologie and Nordstrom have them in their store if you want to try them on.
