Follow up on my shopping last week - I am really pleasantly surprised at the fit and quality here! Both of these dresses will be great in my summer rotation... Sometimes a favorite dress can come unexpectedly inexpensive.... I am a little camera happy right now, since I got it to work right.
Ok, this one from AE was $48.... can dress up or down...the fabric is really soft and nice, and it has some slight boning and sort of s sticky band to hold it up:
So now I am thinking of outfits... Most likely with these C Ronson shoes:
My late grandmother's coral necklace my grandfather brought back from WWII (the coral doesn't "match" really, but somehow suits the vibe... what do you think?):
one of these bags (one kooba, one temma dahan):
Maybe this denim jacket (remember the fuss I made over getting this two years ago? Vanessa helped me get it sent from chicago)
Ok, the other one I ordered - great beach and pool dress - yay! I think it was like $36.
With these little jcrew flips (not exciting, but I am just looking forward to wearing next to nothing):
Sadly, the delias tiered skirt (not pictured b/c it looked like ass on me) didn't work. The embroidery was lovely, but I hated the elastic waist. It gave me a little bulge and I hate that, so it's going back. I didn't notice the eleastic waist when I ordered. Blah!
The green dress from delias is backordered - will post review later.

Hey Mara - Thanks! That makes me feel good about my purchases. The denim jacket - believe it or not - is from INC. I couldn't find it at any of the stores here in DC or online (they only had bigger sizes) so Vanessa and Farrah helped me track it down at the bloomies in Chicago.
If you can't find that one anymore, the gap also has a fitted puff-sleeve denim jacket, i think.

I love that first dress on you. I also love all the accessories you picked out. The wedges, plus the coral necklace will give that dress a cool 70s/boho vibe that's very cute for summer.
The first outfit is simply adorable! I love the color combination of the shoes, necklace and dress... The necklace has such a great story too, gotta love that
Duuuuude. I am in love with those C. Ronson wedges so I searched for them on Ebay. There is one pair in a size 8 and the bidding is at $510.99 and the auction still has more than a day left! The seller even specifically states that the original retail was $140. Someone really, really, really wants these shoes. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=63889&item=5367488604&rd=1
