I'm not really in any position to get either of these bags at the moment, but I need to fantasize! I am cutting out all bag purchases and saving up for one big bag for a year. I have thought about this alot, and I think that I really want something super special.
For a while I was considering getting a Balenciaga moto bag, but now my gears have shifted towards a Chloe silverado. I really want one in python but I think the leather ones are cool. I reason why I've been leaning towards the Chloe is that I feel that it could be better for work. It is a little "flashy" for business but I think day-to-day for work, it is a better choice than the Balenciaga.
What does everyone think? Which one? Should I pass on both?
Balenciaga
Below are various colors and types of the Chloe bag I want. I know someone posted an image from People of Kirsten Dunst carrying this bag last week:
I like the one that says "43" on it... but who knows what the waiting lists are like! Sorry I know some of you don't like this bag!
I'm the one that actually posted the picture of it...it's also my latest obession, but not only are the waiting lists ridiculous for this bag (at least the brown python version) but I don't really have 3k sitting around right now for a bag purchase.
I want it. I know people don't like it but to each her own right?
I really really like the chloe bag. I think the Balenciaga is cute, but I don't really like how the handles hold when the bag is carrying something heavy (the handles seem to be pulling the bag, and wrinkles the corners a bit if that makes any sense). I think the chloe bag wears better, I'm so envious you may buy it!
I have been obsessed with that Chloe bag since the first time I saw it. The gold is amazing but since I don't have infinite cash flow I'd probably opt for something less flashy. I like the python one, too.
My criteria for a useful daytime/work bag is "can you fit a notebook in it?" For me, the Balenciaga fits that bit and that's why I've lusted after it for so long. I like the Chloe bag a lot too, but the shape isn't as conducive to carrying a lot of stuff IMO.
