I love those little booties with ribbed fabric cuffs.  I can't remember the name of them, but they're in the latest catalog.  They're a taupey/khaki color.

As much as i love many of your suggestions, I have found that I am in need of light tops to wear under sweaters because of my frequent hot flashes...

This I can wear year-round, and will take it on my trip if it gets here on time!
