Cruise - what to pack/cheap beach bag

So I'm going on a cruise in less than two weeks (!!!) and I was just wondering if anyone had any advice on what to pack. (We're going to the western carribean -- belize, cozumel, progresso, key west). I know it will be hot, but as far as during the day I'm just not sure what to wear. (It's my first cruise). Also, if anyone has seen any cheap cute (not tacky plastic, ech) beach bags, I'd love to know! I'm in search of one that I can tote around on the islands but not worry about (I refuse to bring my nice coach totes, clearly..!) I'm poor because of the cruise, so I'm looking in the under $30 range. TIA!

Don't worry too much about daytime clothes....you will probably be in your bikini 99% of the time!  If you have any Juicy Couture terry dresses, they are great to wear as a coverup.  Shorts and tanks are good to wear too.  I would try Target for a cute beach tote.  Most cruises are not as formal as they used to be, and only 1 or 2 nights are designated as "formal" attire.  I would bring sundresses and cute going out clothes for dinner, as well as a couple of cocktail dresses.  Hope you have a great vacation!

Target did have some really cute beach bags, mesh ones that reminded me of tote le monde...but under $15! Or if you have time to order I love my lands end bag for the beach and they last forever!!!

I agree with Barbie about the daytime attire - You'll be in your swimsuit, tanks, and skirts/shorts for a majority of the day, and in cute cocktail dresses at night.  I would also suggest some super-comfy shoes as you'll be walking A TON when you get off the ship and explore.
