I feel like the beater w/ sequins is too casual now...but I'm still on the hunt for a belt so maybe that will help? Whaddaya think? Different top, different outfit??? Belt ideas? help.
you are so cute, you skinny-minnie! i think the outfit looks great as-is. you could add to it with a belt, but i don't necessarily think you need one (i think someone mentioned a double-strap type belt before, which i think would look good). you could do a different colored tank layered with your beater, like a black or olive (hard to tell what colors are in that shawl). or, do you have one of those lingerie-ish goldhawk camis? you could layer one of those over the beater, maybe in a really bright color to offset the shawl? i am thinking sapphire blue or purple, something a bit loud.
what city are you in, though? are you going to be cold? are you wearing a coat over this ensemble? and also, am i your mother?

you're so funny! My mom actually asked me the same thing last night ;) got it covered mom, lol! It's in Boston, so yes it'll be coooold. You're ideas are awesome! I'm gonna def use them when I wear it again!!! I'm soooo bad at being out of the box like that, just hand me the mannequin so I don't hafta think! ;)
yep, perfect. i like the second way better. with that, just for a little something extra, i'm seeing a big stack of silver/brightly colored/indian bangle bracelets (you could get some really cheaply even at claire's or someplace like that).

I love that white top, but the brown looks great with that shawl - which I also love. You look so pretty! Have fun
Don't you just hate stressing over an outfit for an occasion? I do this CONSTANTLY - and always feel like i need to buy something new - congrats for going in your closet for an answer!!!!!

Both outfits are HOT! I think you should go with the second though. I love the first, but it seems like YOU might feel a little underdressed. And the second is a little dressier without being too much. Love it! Have fun!

you're really talented. you have a really good knack for balance, you can totally tell in both of your pictures - the outfits are really clean and well put together. i like that you've got a little bit of funky and a little bit of sexy worked in - it's not quite cutesy or too clubby, but a good mix of both, and it'd be great for daytime or evening, casual or more dressy. i especially like that you kept that casual outfit on the girly side - i tend to be a bit of a tomboy in my own style and so this sort of vibe is very inspiring for me.
