Tuesday Morning kills me. I got a black/white damask ironing board cover like this one
And black velvet spa thong slippers, and a 1500 piece jigsaw puzzle. I swear I went in there to start some Christmas shopping, I have no idea what happened.
suasoria - you like puzzles too? we put them together in the winter, and have quite a collection of 1000-5,000 piece ravensburger puzzles. I particularly like the fine art ones as you get very intimate with the details of notable paintings that you might not have noticed otherwise.
for me, a little ebay shopping - a 9c english victorian watch pin -- you can wear it as a pin or a pendant:
some TJ Maxx shopping:
this Badgley Mischka dress in a plummy brown velvet for only $120!! should be good for holiday parties this year (it doesn't have the turtleneck under, and the cuffs are long with 3 buttons - I love it!):
I also got an Elie Tahari lucinda long sleeve dress in a solid deep jade green for only $70 and a Calvin Klein charcoal long sleeve dress for $50 (can't find pics online!)

anyone familiar with big star jeans? i've never bought them before and i'm wondering if they are good quality and if they shrink or not. let me know!
I have a pair - mine have a little stretch to them, so they didn't shrink much if at all. I think they're nicely made, and I like their cuts much better than other jeans with a similar price point. HTH!

I forgot about the Goodwill auction I won for a NWT nightie and robe in a gray snakeskin print. I can't post a pic.

Yes, sigh, I'm geeky like that. But I have two girlfriends who are into them too, so we'll occasionally kill a Sunday afternoon working on a puzzle and cheap red wine. It's kind of hilarious actually, since we barely talk - it's all business. But 1500 pieces is the largest I've attempted! I'm starting it Saturday; it's all I can do to hold off but I need the dining table for a dinner party Friday.
Do you have Tuesday Morning stores in your area? It's an outletish/closeout place. They always have a good selection of Ravensburger puzzles for $6-10 or so.

I love puzzle parties! They aren't very social, but I love to sip on wine and work on a puzzle with other people.
Yes, we have Tuesday Morning stores, but are the puzzles 1000 pieces and up? My husband refuses to put together puzzles under 1000 pieces -- he's a snob like that The puzzles we buy are on ebay and tend to be in the $80 - $100+ retail price range, i.e. Tower of Babel, Scenes of Rome (we don't pay that on ebay of course, but tend to pay $30-$40.) If we could get them for less, that would be fantastic!

D, fantastic finds!!! You must post a threadstyle pic of that velvet dress!!!
And Suasoria, I heart Tuesday morning too, but I usually avoid it cause it can get me into trouble too That ironing board cover makes me wanna go though cause I need a new one and am a sucker for damask, especially black and white!!!
From Endless, got $25 off and remembered to use the ST link
