I'm looking for some cheap "going-out" type tops. Several have mentioned Forever 21 but I don't have one in my state so I'll have to order. Here are som I like, opinions? Anyone seen any of these in person?
They are all cute, but I think I would stay away from anything cheap that has a print. I actually read somewhere or other that one of the tricks of making cheap items work is to only buy solid colors. Prints that aren't well done look cheap and often on cheaper items, they end on weird places on the seams.

i agree with this. i have a lot of stuff from f21 and almost everything that i have is solid color. also i've had better luck with the stuff that's a knit/stretchy fabric. nothing too flimsy, but they tend to have more give. and with a store like f21, where the everything is made as cheaply as possible the give can hide poorly sewn seams and/or cheap cuts.

I agree. I like #3 though.

I really like number three and have seen it in person. I never shop at Forever 21 because the clothes usually don't fit me right and are cheaply made. However, I was pleasantly surprised by this top- the length covers the belly and top of jeans, the fabric is stretchy so it will hold up better, and the beading is a nice touch.
