The differences are subtle, but do exist. The Nordstrom one looks like it would have a nicer fit and it has a cuter bottom. Depending on the brand, I would probably get the Nordstrom one.
I've always heard that Arden B quality was bad, but until last week I never had a problem with their clothes. I just bought a cute top from Arden B to wear to my friend's bachelorette party last weekend and the stitching on the seam came unraveled. I had nothing else to wear so I had to keep it together with a bobby pin (that was the only thing that I could find in our hotel room). And of course I can't bring it back because I wore it.
Who knows. There might be a difference in quality (seams and stitching and all that good stuff), but probably not a big one. You know Arden B's charging for their name. Frankly, I think the one at Nordstrom's looks cuter.
I have a big aversion to polyester though. I think it feels icky. But if it doesn't bother you, and you like the dress, the one at Nordstrom's definitely is very, very cute (and this is coming from a person who has gagged at any shade of true pink on clothes, curtains, whatever, since last summer, due to serious pink overkill everywhere!).

AJ, most stores will take anything back that is damaged, even if you wore it. Obviously, the seam should not have come out like that. Take it back to the store where you bought it, tell them that you wore it once and the stitching came out. They should, at the very least, exchange it or give you store credit, if not a full refund. It helps, too, to have your receipt.
As for the difference...I think that the Nordstrom one has some layers to it (a sheer overlay of chiffon is what it looks like to me). The ArdenB one looks like it's polyester and only one layer. I would go with the Nordstrom one.
