This is Lupe, my beautiful godchild from Mexico. I am so proud of her. She is 8 years old and living in an orphanage, but she is such an amazing girl with a great future ahead of her. I'm so blessed to be part of her life. I just wanted to share

Ah, why is she in an orphanage? I want to adopt her!
She is in a home that does not allow the children to be adopted out. Trust me, she'd be sitting next to me if that wasn't the case! They (the organization) has 9 homes throughout Latin America and the Carribean. The children are incredibly well taken care of and have more advantages than most children in the countries, i.e. college, medical care, etc. the website is nph.org if you want to learn more about it.

I am going to look into it to donate to from our family's foundation. Sounds marvelous, and I know my in-laws would appreciate it since their oldest daughter lives in Mexico and they have a soft spot for Latin babies.
thats great, missme! what state do you live in? a few states have local fundraising office's.

okay, i guess they are doing it by "regions" now, so you guys would be in the "MidAtlantic/Northeast" region. Their US fudraisers are Friends of the Orphans. (friendsoftheorphans.org) I'm so excited you are interested in this! It is an incredible organization, I've been with them for 6 years, now.
