i am hearing a lot of raves about paige denim and finally saw them on somebody (she was trying them on at a store here) - they were nice. I really like some of the new brands coming out - the washes and cuts are really fresh, they're very wearable, etc.
My three picks personally are Sass and Bide, Abercrombie and J bush though!
Since I live in the land of "Trends Worn In LA 3 Years Ago" I don't get to see too many brands in real life. I am currently obsessed with my Salt Works Orchard Streets, and I also love Rock&Republic Scorpions, though I've never tried them on. My 3rd favorite would have to be my True Religion Bridgets, though I don't think they make them anymore =( I've also heard great things about Earnest Sewn, but I doubt I'll buy them b/c I hate the fit of most PD&C.

Definitely Rock & Republic Scorpions. I can not get over the hotness of those jeans. The next two I'd like to own are TR Joeys with twisted leg (coolness factor) and Yanuk workers (for comfort, fat days, flat shoes). I've tried both on and love them but am trying to ration my jean purchases....
My long-standing faves are my COH Ingrids, Seven a-pockets (gold crystal and pink) and my dark sway James Jeans - so flattering!

2. Rock and Republic Scorpions. The new light wash for this season rocks...now if only I could find a pair in my size that didn't have missing belt loops or misplaced pockets...who's doing quality control over there anyway?
3. Another vote for Salt Works Orchard St.
A lot of the newer jeans look really "eh" on me. I can't say I'm a huge fan of Paige (but I like it on others...too basic for me), Earnest Sewn (actually this looks like an 80s flashback on me, complete with bubble butt and skintight legs), or Notify. I Sass and Bide, but when I tried on the jeans, there wasn't enough fabric to cover my butt so the sides of the jean sat a good two inches higher than the back of the jean. Even the SA said that she's never seen anything like that before .
for my body james & diesel. i haven't tried on salt works yet (hope to do so next week) and i have a pair of tr's that i like but the way the pockets sit way below my actual butt so it takes some getting used to. all other brands are just okay on me so i can't really justify buying a pair unless they're on sale.
