I will attending a wedding in November (but it's in Florida...so it will still be very warm outside) and I am searching for the perfect dress to wear. I am petite (size 0-2) and I'm finding that all junior dresses are waay to prom-y (I won't do big bows, tons of sequins, totally innappropriate tube or halter dresses) and most women's dresses for guests of a wedding start at like a size 6. So what sites should I be looking at? So far I have searched:
-Betsey Johnson (slutty dresses must be in this season) -Macy's -Jessica Mclintock (scary prom dresses) -Anthro (not dressy enough) -J.Crew (I don't want to spend $500)
Please help me. Where do you buy these type of things?
Do you have any other info about the wedding to judge it's formality? Time of day? Dinner? Location?
I'd look at Nordstrom (and Nordstrom Rack if you're near one), which is where I've gotten the last few dresses I've worn to weddings. I'm petite too, and I think they have a nice selection at reasonable prices. Ann Taylor and Ann Taylor Loft also have nice things in petite sizes, and Banana Republic might be an option as well.

How fancy does it need to be? It's hard to make suggestions without knowing.
I'm also a size 0-2 and have a really hard time finding dresses. I usually wind up getting them altered. In fact, the last two weddings that I've gone to I wore dresses that I got taken in. I recently bought a Plenty Frock by Tracy Reese dress at Anthro that is definitely fancy enough for a wedding and fits me perfectly. I don't see it on the Anthro or TR site but there are a number of other dresses on sale in sizes 0-2 here. I've also had luck with Nanette Lepore and Milly dresses.
If you have a Nordstrom Rack with the designer section - I always find lovely evening and cocktail dresses there. My other go-to's are Anthro and BCBG as well. hth
