As you may recall, I was lusting over this bag and I finally ordered it in red.
It's so pretty. And so soft. Almost too soft. I fear for it's safety. I guess I'll bring it someplace to get it protected. Awww it's like my baby. Anyway, it's a good size and I'm pleased to see that it keeps it's shape even when it's empty.
The one thing that pissed me off is that it doesn't come with a dust bag! WTF?! A $400+ dollar suede bag with no dust bag. I feel like I need an emoticon here, but I don't really do emoticons and I'm too lazy to look for one.
I'm going to a fashion show on Saturday and I might use it since there it's not supposed to precipitate at all. I'll be posting for outfit ideas tomorrow!
Whenever I order something online and it turns out just as awesome as I imagined I pretend I'm Hannibal from the A-Team: "I love it when a plan comes together." Heh.
I'm waiting for your outfit ideas, cc...! You got the red one, no?

I can't wait to use it! I just kept staring at it last night.
Ayo - The bag is from Le Train Bleu and it was on sale for $229 (from $450). Unfortunately it looks like they might only have it in the light blue color now but you could try calling/emailing them.
So can you guys post outfit ideas?!
For the fashion show tomorrow, I was thinking of just wearing jeans and a black top with this bag and black boots.
What about this? It's a red cami with a black faux-lace pattern alone the top under a black vneck tee. Please excuse this picture of me drunk on Christmas.
Also, can I use this while wearing my light blue coat? I love light blue and red but I don't know if I can pull this off.

oh my god cc, you are so funny. congrats on your bag! it's PERFECT to bring to a fashion show
i think either outfit sounds good, and you can definitely carry the bag with a baby blue coat. the only thing i'd worry about is the red rubbing off onto the coat...

you probably already thought of this, but when i have bags that doen't come with their own dustbags, i just use an old pillowcase. it works just as well.
i think either of those tops, plus jeans, black boots, and baby blue coat would look great. what shade is your coat? very light and powdery blue or a darker baby-blue? i'm trying to think of one more accessory that you could wear to tie the whole thing together...
cc - i have ten million dust bags you can have. i got like four in one bag at a lauren mirken sample sale! i will have to see the size of the bag and then i will give you an appropriate one. what were they thinking IT'S SUEDE!!!
i think that a splash of red would look really awesome with your blue coat. but i guess focus on not going too crazy with your color palette. i like the idea of jeans... and maybe your gray scarf?
what's the hardware on the red? it's looks silver in the pic, but is it gold?
i could see maybe not wearing red with your outfit tomorrow. i feel like if you really want your bag to stand out maybe neutralize your outfit with something that would really make the red pop! but i do like that shirt in the picture... and since it's just a little red, that could be good too. i feel like because red is such a "color" color that not usually in your wardrobe, maybe coordinating like that would give the bag less umph?
ummm i'm trying to think of your closet..............
what about something cream or white? what about that fuzzy wheat sleeveless weater you like? or do you own something brown? i feel like brown would be better than black. or you could go softer and wear softer colors, like your blue coat, to make your bag seem even more stunning. like a soft robin egg blue top with jeans? i don't know if such a thing exists in your closet.
did you have any other shirts in mind to show your bag off with?
If I use my blue coat with it tomorrow (or in the future!) I would wear this ruffle-edged ivory scarf that I have with an ivory pointelle hat or my giant shearling earmuffs.
dot, I was thinking about wearing the ivory sweater in which case I would wear my brown boots. I do have a million black tops though.
I'll have to tear through my closet later.
Oh and yeah how ridiculous is it that there is no dust bag! I was going to use a pillow case but it looks like dot can hook me up!
