I've had the hardest time finding wool tweed/herringbone pants that fit me. I know spring is impending, but I still really want a pair.
I think I might have to break down and buy a pair that fits me the best (or least worst) and have them altered. my problem is they are always baggy in the butt, and usually in the thighs as well. is this a very complicated alteration, particularly if the pants are lined? I guess I could live with loose thighs but not the butt.
I bought two pairs of express editors ( 1 wool 1 herringbone ) and had them altered. They were also too baggy in the butt/thighs, but were the best I could find for the price. THey were fully lined too. I took them to a good tailor and he did a great job! I don't think its too complicated, I've had the same thing done for cuffed crop pants.
thanks rocky! I guess I'm just having a hard time picturing where on the butt they would take the fabric in, if they'd have to mess around with the belt hoops, etc.
