I am turning 30 in 5 weeks. This is a big deal for me. I have been looking at this purse for 6 months or so and I love it. I will have about $700 left from my tax refund (after paying off my credit cards) andI really want to treat myself to something special. This bag is $675.
I love this bag, the color, the style, everything. It's $298 and I could easily afford it. However, even though I love it, I don't think it has that special feeling that the above bag has. But it is more than 1/2 the price.
So I need you all to tell me what to do. I am having a hard time justifying this first bag becasue I could doso much more with it, than buying just one purse. But I think it's classic and will not go out of style for a very long time.
I would get the first purse. The second one, while it is cheaper, won't last as long or be as versatile for you, and you'll probably still want the first purse even after you buy the second one. I think it is fitting to buy yourself such a grown up gift for your 30th birthday. Big birthdays deserve big presents!

i think the first one is more drop-dead, and mor efabulous. plus, it's your 30th and it will really feel like a special gift to yourself. plus, it's timeless and you will have it forever. go for it!!
Get the Gucci. When I turned 30, I didn't really want anything, but splurged on a spa day @ an upscale hotel. IMO, turning 30 is major & since you've been eyeing the Gucci for 6 months, go for it. It might not be a "practical" purchase, but the longevity of it, surpasses the Coach.
Gucci. you already have a blue coach purse. i feel like if you have been dreaming of #1, and you buy #2 because it's cheaper, you will still be dreaming of #1.
