Any of you girls been in this store? Curious as to you impressions?
I had the oppurtunity to venture into one this weekend. Mind you I did not try anything on but, I think I really liked it. The bags were BEAUTIFUL, a bit high priced in the coach range. The denim offerings seemed nice. I understand this is an ambercrombie brnd marketed at the 25-34 yr old range. Affliating it with Abercrombie put me off a bit. But there is one bag in particular I think may make up for that. I think I'll be back there...
Yes I went to their Schaumburg IL location last fall and I liked a lot of the stuff I saw, although like itsapinkthing, I am a little put off that's an abercrombie offshoot. When I was in the store, I didn't know that, but I could sense it through the decor and the complete lack of customer service that A&F is so famous for!!
Really the people that worked their scared me a little. I saw one employee, who was probably on some sort of drug, fondling a display of lace camis. I kid you not, he was standing there, feeling up each cami, one by one. My friend and I watched him for a few minutes trying to figure out what he was doing, it was really bizarre! The other male employees were busy ogling all the 15 year old girls wandering through the store. And the one female employee I saw was ringing people up at the registers. The store is set up like someone's house so there are hallways and rooms and the whole effect was really weird. Another thing is that I tried on a few tops and I had to get size L's (I'm usually a 2/4 or S at Banana, etc.). That wouldn't bother me so much except that the store is aimed at 25-34 year olds.
Overall, a thumbs up on clothes and most of the prices, a thumbs down on the atmosphere, which was just bizarre.

In Tampa there is one. It does have a weird atmosphere. The exterior is pretty, almost like a city brownstone but there isn't a sign or any sort of giveaway of what is inside the store. There are people who just stand at both the entrance and exit as greeters, which is kinda intimidating. When I first went in I was expecting really expensive designer stuff. Then I realized it was just Abercrombie priced a little more. There were some decent camis and tops but nothing too amazing. It's also really dark in there so you can barely see where you're going or what you're looking at.
