Comfy shoes for preschooler?

I'm on the hunt for comfy shoes for my 4 year old (yikes! yes 4, when I found ST my DD was only 8 months old!)

Anyway....poor thing has been coming home with red toes and even a blister here and there.  She's been wearing mostly Gap shoes when this happens.  She also has a Tommy Hilfiger pair and a pair of Converse Chucks she likes.  DH says Chucks get uncomfortable after wearing them a while since they dont have any cushion support in them.

Can y'all recommend any shoe styles or brands that will be comfy?  They need to be closed toe.

We usually buy stride rite for my two year old and have never had any problems. Through August 17th they're having a buy one, get one half off sale.

I was going to say Stride Rite too. Also, I've not tried them personally but do the new Robeez Tredz go up to her size? They're super cute!

I dont know what size Robeez Tredz go up to, but she's a size 9-10 right now. I'll definetely check out Stride Rite! DH is convinced Nike and Puma is the only way to go.

Hayden's only worn Nike Shox, Jordans, & Timberlands. His sandals are all from Gap. His Gap sandals have given him blisters before. Never a problem with the others. :)

Because I grew up wearing stride rites, I buy my boys shoes there, especially for the basic school shoes which they wear most often.  I also loved their sandals, they are great quality and lasted for hand-me-downs.  We have never had a blister except when MIL put the younger boy's shoe on the older child. weirdface

for school I always buy my daughter Nikes. They make some really cute ones and I love that they are flexible and comfy!
