i have been OBSESSED (seriously, it's bad--my apartment resembles a gypsy tent at this point) with this person's stuff www.kerrycassill.com for a few years.  it's really beautiful, and she makes clothing as well as the bedding.  but i recently discovered calypso, which is so very similar and the clothing pieces are far less expensive. 

Oh dear bumblebee, now I have to kill you. Yet another site to add to my list. *sigh* Those fabrics are beautiful. Does she do clothes? I couldn't see any on the site. I really, really love that whole cotton/print/summery thing.

The Cool Change dress is actually another garment first spied on good old Jessica Simpson. Here are some pics of it off eBay (it's not Calypso but it was sold at Calypso boutiques):

that is really pretty.  but, ok, why is J. Simp (as you call her) wearing it with that weird halter/sports-bra underneath it? that looks odd.

yes, kerry cassill makes clothes also--there's a listing on the site of boutiques that carry it, but it's really hit or miss.  i go to her store in laguna beach, which has the most of everything, and a whole room worth of the delicious bedding.  it's kind of a small operation, which is fantastic to me, so sometimes the availability is not what it would be if it were larger--she gets everything made in india and it just depends what things come in and what things don't. 

No nooooo! Don't encourage me! I only posted it for interest's sake. Anyway, that whole silhouette (the shorter silhouette - the Cool Change dress can be worn as a skirt as well) honestly does not flatter me at all.

It does look dumb with that halter underneath it. I'd probably wear a bikini top or something.

Esquiress - I am from a warm part of Canada. It is generally in the 80's/90's all summer (June-Sept) and never goes below freezing in the winter (except for that awful snowstorm a couple of weeks ago).

omg, I can't believe you said that. It gets in the 80's - 100 F in most parts of Canada for at least some of the year.

hee, Brazen...I think I am going to have a card printed up that says we don't spend ALL year shivering in our igloos.  

Although I understand why someone in LA would think of ti as cold all the time here. I think of it as damn hot all the time there.

I don't really have an appreciation of Jessica Simpson, but I do adore that dress. It does look a little strange with the halter underneath but I think she pulls it off well. I just think it's so unique in comparison to the Juicy dresses that have been all over the place.
