So I have been eating cereal in the mornings lately but having a hard time finding a good one, or really, knowing what a good one is. I tried Smart Start, which I loved, but it has a lot of sugar. Then I tried Special K Cinnamon Pecan and loved it. That one seemed to be healthier to me, but I need some suggestions on other healthy cereals, but with some flavor to them. Any recs?
Kashi Heart to Heart is my only cereal, and I highly recommend it. It's like cheerios but way better for you, just sweet enough, and perfect as a snack. Also love that the cereal itself is heart-shaped. I'm a sucker!

I am a fan of and Fiber One cereal. I usually just get the plain one and add fruit to it.
I think this cereal should come with a big ol' warning label! My poor system can't handle an entire serving of this - I had to limit it to sprinkling a quarter cup on top of yogurt with fruit. Consider yourselves warned!
I've been getting some organic fiber and flax cereal at Costco recently - really keeps you satisfied IMO. Not sure if everywhere has it though .

I like a cereal called Nutty Flax. I add it to a plain, gluten-free Rice Krispies cereal. I also keep ground flax seed in an airtight container to spread over cereal.

Sorry Elle, you are right, I didn't think to mention that. I only eat half a cup at a time, which is another reason I add the fruit.
I tried the Kashi Heart to Heart puffed what cereal. I didn't think I would like it since I don't like Cheerios, but I did. I also tried the Kashi Go Lean Crunch Honey and Almond Flax and liked that a lot too. I have to wait until these boxes are gone, but then I am going to try some more Kashi cereals. Thanks girls!
I like just regular Grape Nuts with some fruit on top. Also, adding Wheat Germ on top is a healthy alternative and I like the honey type which is sweet and yummy.
what about hot cereals? Or homemade cereals and granola? I've made some but never really from a recipe. I second the notion of using flax. When I was pregnant and had gestational diabetes I ate a lot of flax because it lowers your net carbs essentially. Look for the milled variety or put it in a spice mill/coffee bean grinder.
*think Jamie Lee Curtis on SNL doing the Activia commercial. If you haven't seen this, look it up**
