Hi, everyone. I went shopping a while ago with my little sister, and went into delias. I haven't thought about delias since I was in HS, but my sis is 14, so that store's kinda her thing. BUT I found the cutest pair of velvet pants in this amazing dark purple color. It's a deep purpley-wine color; not a bright color at all - quite nice. Anyway, they were only $10 so of course I bought them. The only thing I don't like about them are the front pockets: they are vertical slit pockets so they show the lining a bit, which isn't so bad, except that the lining is stark white...WTF?!?!?

I don't mind the bulge, but the white is driving me crazy! I've thought maybe about dyeing (sp?) them (the pockets) a dark color (black or something), but that could get messy.

Anyone have any ideas on how to get rid of/hide the white pockets? TIA!!

I would recommend sewing the pockets shut as tightly as possible.  Dyeing them sounds a little risky.

Maybe you could cut them out, but if they would show your skin then just sew them shut.  Or you could put a little Velcro dot on each side so you would still be able to use them.

I agree with LMonet, sew them shut.  If I don't like the way pocket lining looks on my dress pants I have them removed and sewn shut on some of my dress pants depending on how they look.  And for $10 for a great pair of pants what's another $10-15?
