1800 Pet Meds
Permalink Closed

I just placed my first order with them, and so far I'm pretty impressed.  I've been meaning to go check it out for awhile, so I did before I called the vet to refill my pup's flea and heartworm meds.

My vet is pretty reasonable on their prices, but it still costs me $122 for a six month supply of both meds there.

Online at pet meds, their regular prices would have saved me $25 but I also found a $20-off coupon code, so my total saved was $45 (shipping is free).  Wheeeeee!  They even contact your vet for you if you order something that requires a prescription.

Thumbs up from me!

Sure!  The code is 420RX, for $20 off a prescription medication (which I think all the heartworm meds are).

There are also a few codes for 10% off, $5 off, etc on RetailMeNot if anyone needs to order non-prescription stuff smile.gif.

Just an FYI, some vets will not approve the prescriptions for you when 1-800-petmeds calls them! I had a vet that refused so wasn't able to order prescription meds from there.

Did you ever ask them why?  All they call and verify is that the animal has a valid prescription ... maybe if you called the vet ahead of time so they could pull the file in advance?  FWIW, you can also send in a written prescription, though of course that takes a bit longer.
