So I'm going to start exercising now that my stomach and incision don't bother me very much anymore. I need a pair of athletic shoes. I'll mostly be doing aerobics and probably walking outside when it's not so damn hot anymore. I was looking at the Nordie's sale and found these two that I like. What do you guys think? Couldn't find reviews on either one.....
I have Nike Shox similar to the middle pair and I like them. I noticed in the poll the Asics are the majority vote. I have never tried Asics, what's so great about them?
Asics have the best padding on the market in my opinion. I have friends who swear by NewBalance and some that love Brooks. Running shoes are like anything else, everyone has different reasons based on their needs. I personally do not like Nike running shoes. I think their sizing is inconsistent and they don't have enough cushioning and give how I run, that's really a deal breaker for me.
I think for anyone getting into being physical after a break, they really would benefit from a trip to a good running store or sporting goods store. They should be able to look at your old shoes and how you run/walk and give suggestions of which shoes would be best for you. Any good running store will have a wide price range of shoes and have an excellent return policy. If you can't make it into a running store, at least do a little research about what type of wear pattern you have and use that as a guide when selecting shoes.
