Dinner: ?????????

Tommorow I am going to the gym to do a class called Body Pump at Gold's Gym, can't wait!!!

hey lsubatgirl, i just learned what king cake was yesterday!  one of our clients sent one to the customer service dept. & everyone was having some, but luckily since i've never tried it i was able to resist.  i told myself it wouldn't taste that good (u can tell me if it does, now, cuz it's all gone) & i would regret breaking my diet.  however, tomorrow is the last day of the detox diet & i'm considering drinking tonight cuz i'm going out w/ a cute guy and a bunch of friends & tomorrow the most i would do is maybe go dancing w/ the guy & my cousin & her bf.  anyways, i also wanted to add that i tried on pants that i haven't fit into since last year & i was able to button them!!!  of course i had a nice lil roll hanging over but at least i could button them & i haven't been able to do that in a year!!

It depends on where the king cake comes from whether I like it or not and what icing it has on it.  It essentially is just a fancy cinnamon roll.  They are delicious when you get a good one.  They also make chocolate ones called zulu cakes which are good. Yummy now I want one but I must stay on diet.

I have been good all week - an upcoming trip is my motivation.  Yesterday my SO and I visited our trainer for our "hotel workout."  We are bringing a blow-up ball, two sets of jump ropes for cardio, and two sets of exercise bands.  We plan to work out either just cardio or just weights (with a warm up) every morning of our vacation - a first.

Today:

  • Breakfast: Luna nutrition bar in Pecan pie, Amy's Breakfast burrito, plain green tea, and a soy latte

  • Lunch: Vegetarian BLT (the bacon is this fantastic organic smokey tempeh) on organic whole grain bread (except I used plain 'ol Hellmans cause there just isn't a substitute as good) - I should have some veggies and fruit, but its too cold to shlep down to the organic/veggie store today.

  • Snack: 1 cup of soy hot chocolate

  • Dinner: ??? I think I may just have an Amy's veggie pot pie

  • Dessert: 1 package of Reece's Peanut Butter Cups

  • Snacks at home: Nuts, fruit, veggie sticks

Since I did a fully body workout with weights yesterday (plus over an hour of cardio between the elliptical and the bike) I will only be doing cardio today (one hour on the elliptical).

I'm very proud of myself...  I went on a complete revamp of my lifestyle since the end of October last year, and I am proud to say I have lost 15 pounds (from 150 to 135) and my body fat went from 26% to 21%.

I go the gym about 5-6 times a week for both cardio and weight training.  In fact, my attitude towards the gym has changed so much I am thinking about getting certified to be a personal trainer.
