I am so proud of myself!!!! My sister and I woke up at 7:00 this morning to go to the gym. There we ran for 30 minutes, thank god that these treadmills have tv's installed to them. The music videos really motivated me to not stop after 15 minutes. Did upper body weights for 15 minutes.
Breakfast: scrambled eggs and ham
Lunch: Planning on having a tuna salad
Dinner: ?????????
Tommorow I am going to the gym to do a class called Body Pump at Gold's Gym, can't wait!!!
excellent job, lady, on getting up early! u r so motivated! today is my day off from the gym (not really by choice, more cuz i have a date)
breakfast: raspberry fool
snack: 1 carrot
lunch: quinoa salad
snack: orange
dinner: shrimp & 3 bean salad (depending on what time he gets to LA, we may go to dinner, but he's coming from san diego on a friday so i'm thinking i'll be eating alone before we go out dancing)
hey lsubatgirl, i just learned what king cake was yesterday! one of our clients sent one to the customer service dept. & everyone was having some, but luckily since i've never tried it i was able to resist. i told myself it wouldn't taste that good (u can tell me if it does, now, cuz it's all gone) & i would regret breaking my diet. however, tomorrow is the last day of the detox diet & i'm considering drinking tonight cuz i'm going out w/ a cute guy and a bunch of friends & tomorrow the most i would do is maybe go dancing w/ the guy & my cousin & her bf. anyways, i also wanted to add that i tried on pants that i haven't fit into since last year & i was able to button them!!! of course i had a nice lil roll hanging over but at least i could button them & i haven't been able to do that in a year!!
It depends on where the king cake comes from whether I like it or not and what icing it has on it. It essentially is just a fancy cinnamon roll. They are delicious when you get a good one. They also make chocolate ones called zulu cakes which are good. Yummy now I want one but I must stay on diet.
I have been good all week - an upcoming trip is my motivation. Yesterday my SO and I visited our trainer for our "hotel workout." We are bringing a blow-up ball, two sets of jump ropes for cardio, and two sets of exercise bands. We plan to work out either just cardio or just weights (with a warm up) every morning of our vacation - a first.
Today:
Breakfast: Luna nutrition bar in Pecan pie, Amy's Breakfast burrito, plain green tea, and a soy latte
Lunch: Vegetarian BLT (the bacon is this fantastic organic smokey tempeh) on organic whole grain bread (except I used plain 'ol Hellmans cause there just isn't a substitute as good) - I should have some veggies and fruit, but its too cold to shlep down to the organic/veggie store today.
Snack: 1 cup of soy hot chocolate
Dinner: ??? I think I may just have an Amy's veggie pot pie
Dessert: 1 package of Reece's Peanut Butter Cups
Snacks at home: Nuts, fruit, veggie sticks
Since I did a fully body workout with weights yesterday (plus over an hour of cardio between the elliptical and the bike) I will only be doing cardio today (one hour on the elliptical).
Reading this really makes me want to join you guys. I hope shoveling counts because I already shoveled my drive way and I'm about to do my parent's. Starting Monday, I am going to start my Core Secrects dvds. Keep this up you guys, it helps.
I'm very proud of myself... I went on a complete revamp of my lifestyle since the end of October last year, and I am proud to say I have lost 15 pounds (from 150 to 135) and my body fat went from 26% to 21%.
I go the gym about 5-6 times a week for both cardio and weight training. In fact, my attitude towards the gym has changed so much I am thinking about getting certified to be a personal trainer.
