Soo... I'm interviewing with the HR of a luxury fragrance co , possibly the most elegant, expensive, chic brand I can think of. I have a black pinstripe skirt suit, a tan pantsuit, a black sheath dress, and a grey/white/black DVF wrap dress.
Usually, I do one of the suits mentioned above with a pop of color in the shirt but I've interviewed at high-end fashion before and I noticed no one wore any colors other than black. I am open to dropping some $$ on a new outfit though. Any ideas?
I recently jazzed up a pinstripe suit... I wore this blouse in white under it and it gave the suit kind of a regal, frothy and decadent feel, but it came across as very professional and feminine. I received a lot of compliments on my attire that day as well. I also have one in black that I haven't worn yet, but the white gives the suit a crisp punch. I also love to wear cuff links, and that adds interest and detail too.
Unfortunately, there are only sizes 16 and 22 left in this blouse. However, I did find some similar blouses:
dvf $198 - comes in dark plum too
calypso $150
eye $175
hth!

yeah - i saw the pinstripe suit with the DVF blouse D posted - it's beautiful - also you need some fab shoes! what do you have? I'd probably do classic accessories - like a great silver watch if you have one, and then some sophisticated and simple earrings.
I ended up going with the pinstripe skirt part of the suit and a sateen black button up. My hair was fab and of course I wore some signature pearls and 4" stilletto black pointy shoes.................
I got a call back already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am swooning!
Now all I have to do is decide what to wear for round two....
