I am thinking about getting a pair similar to these, but I am afraid they will make me look short. I am about 5.4, but I have short, skinny/muscular legs. I am just concerned these will chop my legs up and make me look shorter. What do you all think?
These are not the exact shoes that I want. The pair I am thinking about are from a boutique by my house and I don't have a pic. I was just wondering about wrap sandals in general.

I honestly can't imagine those being flattering on anyone, they're not even flattering on the model. Unless your legs look like stilts I would stay far away. But I usually am very fond of gladiator-esque sandals.

This is a very hard thing to pull of IMO. I think they look best with a mini on someone with slender legs/ankles. The skirt they put on the model is awful with those sandals!!!

I totally agree. I think they're cute and doable, but are best worn with shorter skirts by girls with long skinny legs.
I feel you, RyanJ - I have a weakness for gladiator sandals, coupled with non-supermodel-length legs as well.
I think that you might be able to get away with it if you're pairing them with a very short skirt or pair of shorts - you say your legs are skinny so it could work!

I think that they are hard to pull off. I have seen girls with the sausage effect (tying them tight so they stay up, yes, even skinny girls) and girls with one side that is sliding down more than the other because they won't stay up. So, aside from them not being flattering as the girls said, I think that there are also some "other" problems with them.
i'm not really feeling that pair, but it could be a bad picture. there was a really cute pair in the latest issue of lucky from aerosoles. (which has magically disappeared from my house so i can't tell you which page) they are part of their collaboration with tara subokoff (from ioc) and seemed like they'd be easier to work with.
