OK, the thread is supposed to be about this Marc by MJ skirt (yes, apparently I am now cursed to find MJ stuff cute), which is just about perfect, imo:
But it's also about the fact that it is SNOWING like a mofo where I live - is it snowing in Seattle/Washington State? We've got about 8 inches on the ground, I am not sure we've ever had this much - and it's still coming down. Everything is closed and I just took my dogs for a walk on the road because no cars are out - the place is just full of people and their dogs (all the dogs are going crazy in the snow). It looks like a fairytale outside. I love it.

i wish we had snow here. it's been raining and sleeting a lot, but so far we've had very little snow. actually one day around christmas it snowed just a bit and my friend and i were in a taxi going through central park and it was so magical and romantic. new york is so pretty when it snows just enough to cover everything, but not so much that it blocks the curbs and gets all brown and nasty.
It is snowing in the north part of the state, but now as far south as Seattle. All week they've been predicting snow, but today the weather people changed the prediction to "wet snow turning to rain by morning" blah, blah, blah...usual rain. We were actually supposed to drive up to Vancouver this morning, but decided to postpone since it is snowing so much up there. We Seattle people don't respond well to snow.
It's cotton, I think, and I haven't purchased it yet because I need to spend at least 48 hours obsessing and being a freak before I buy anything. I am only about 12 hours in.
It *is* the exact silhouette I have been looking for, though. It would be beautiful in silk. I am hoping MJ puts some of those full silk skirts in the cheaper line so I can afford them.
Luckylily - I haven't seen ONE car today. Everyone is too chicken to drive. We're wusses. Everything is shut in Vancouver as well, so good call.

It is 74 degrees here in Alabama. I will trade my hot weather for a little of your cold--although I don't want snow. All my winter clothes I bought are just hanging in the closet. I would like to wear them but people here are still walking around in flip flops. We did have a cold spell during Christmas, but I was off work so it really didn't matter since I was not going to wear work clothes on the holidays. Oh well.
