Is this top sexy or too manish? What do you women think? I think I love it but how to wear it? How about with a black, pinstriped pant (I suggest this for everything), a metallic shoe and/or bag, and some subtle silver or gold jewelry? Where can you buy the clothes sticky stuff, so my boobs won't fall out? (Luckily I'm not very well-endowed, so I can get away with this type top.) Also, worth $150? Does ravinstyle ever have sales?
hmmm....i'm kind of at a loss as to where it would be appropriate to wear that. it's definitely too risque for the office, actually maybe too risque for daytime in general. but kinda boring looking for going out at night, i mean it just looks like an unbuttoned cotton shirt (though i do like the collar). and if you did pair it w/ black pinstriped pants, that wouldn't really help spice it up. the only thing i can think is if you layered a bunch of silver necklaces, that would add some sparkle. also, i think $150 is way overpriced (imo). so i'd pass but maybe some of the other ladies have a different point of view.
I have to agree with esquiress' opinion on it. But if you get it you can use taupee tape to keep the sides taped to your skin. Its cheaper than that hollywood fashion tape they sell and its the same thing!
good pov esquiress. I like the idea of the multiple necklaces. When I see it, I think Annie Hall meets sexy boho. What a weird combo! And I was thinking for nighttime, def. not day. But maybe if the bottom of the shirt was different, it would look fancier.
But I think it's pretty cool... I wonder if I could make something like this...
i think it's a really cool shirt. i actually like the bottom and the sleeve detail. if the material were "fancier" it might veer into iffy (kind of skanky) territory, whereas the way it is now it has a very nonchalant sexy vibe to it. i definitely see it for night, paired with pinstripe pants (kind of low slung and slouchy). i would probably add a long dangly pendant of some sort, i'm thinking something kind of bold (not too crazy) in a color that would pop against the shirt.
i really like that top and it's definitely got potential to be sexy. the details are really nice, but it's possible you could get a similar look with a nice dress shirt, although that might not be much cheaper. i think it would look awesome with multiple strands of pearls and silver chains or a really cool pendant.
ravinstyle does have sales (i'm still kicking myself for not getting this sweater that i loved when it was on sale) and sometimes luckymag.com has a discount code.
blubirde, I *really* love that shirt. Love the style with the fabric and colour - it's perfect. I guess it depends on whether or not you want to spend that $ on it...just wanted to put my $.02 in, though - it's very, very cool.
Is it Rebecca Minkoff, btw? I'm going to go check out ravinstyle again as I haven't been there in awhile but I bought something from there by this designer (a shirt, similiar style to this one, but slate blue) and it's awesome - it fits very well and is well made.

I think that would be really hot with some black pants, and gold shoes and some really cool long lariat. Understated, but sexy. I bought some tape from a bridesmaid store once to keep a strapless dress down and I don't think it was too expensive and would work for this.
